Dr. Hart...man that is SUPER cool! You will be sleeping in complete comfort now! I am a big DIY'er and I was looking to do something like that myself. I'm thinking of buying a cheap old mini van and converting it into a micro rv...with a/c and evertything! smile

To address this comment, the below link is another idea I have been seriously considering. It can used as a boat, a cabin boat (for over nights on the boat) and a camper all in one little package. I have built some of his boats before and they are pretty easy, inexpensive and straight forward to build. Now I just need to find the time!!

Haven't spent a night in it yet. So no hours. The build took me about 30 hours

That's really cool. I hate tents too.

I can put my PA14 inside my rig for safe hauling.

Great job and cost a whole bunch less than my camper.

Here is my kayak hauler parked next to my shop. My Outback barely fits in there.

Finished the paint today trying to stay true to the era. I have mounted the tool box that will be the kitchen with a tailgate grill and more. I wanted the l angle box to store my camp carpet and large umbrella.

What did you use on the exterior of the trailer. I have been thinking bout building a small off-road trailer to pull behind my jeep

I skinned it in 1/4 inch plywood then painted it with a real good oil base paint. Many people will cover with aluminum after that.

Added the window awning just in time for the storm today.

Panoramic view inside.

Great Job !

I have cut/built the components for a few teardrops for others and have always wanted to do one for myself. "Roundtuits" have always bitten me in the butt.
I am not sure I would actually use it much, but just really like the things.

That was a great job, Thanks for sharing with us.

Tight lines and quite nights.....Phill
