 Crappie around Houston

I will be relocating to Houston (Cypress) is a few weeks and I am interested in knowing where I could find some crappie. are there any places where I could fish from the bank and catch a couple good fillets?

i have gone out to Sheldon reservoir a few times out in east south east houston and caught some very nice ones right off the boat ramp area about 20-30ft out. caught them on live shiners.

Around the Stubblefield area on the far north end of Lake Conroe has proven good for me from the bank. Gonna try this weekend but I think they may have gone back deep already? Any of you pros out there have any advise for Conroe bank locations for crappie other than Stubblefield?
