Picked one up at Wal-Mart for $1.50 in Sexy shad pattern yesterday. Never used it or seen one before.

Does it work?

How do you fish it?

"the old mans crankbait".

They definitely work. Fish it like a med diving crankbait and you're golden.

Sure, get yourself an Okie Dokie and Flatfish to go with it. Pretend it's 1964 and you'll catch a lot of bass (at least, I did in 1964).

Great memories fishing with the Lazy Ike. Caught many of fish in my earliest years (I'm over 50 now) throwing a Red & White Lazy Ike. In fact, never threw anything other than that or a purple worm regardless of what I was being told by my Color C Lector (http://www.etsy.com/listing/75586490/vintage-colorclector-lure-color-selector)to use.

Really great memories!

I probably have 20 Lazy Ikes in various colors in old tackle boxes. I didn't know they still made them. Mine were my dad's and are at least 40-50 years old.

My dad used to fish with flat fish...caught bass on them, think they were a salmon lure intially though no?

Man I haven't thought about one of those for years. I remember as a kid in the 70s watching the Wallace wildlife show, where they were trolling Lazy Ike's along the rip-rap and catching Flathead catfish on them. Does anybody remember the Wallace Wildlife show?

I remember it well. I really did not like it because most of the time they were doing something other than bass fishing but now looking back it really makes me laugh for the times that they were bass fishing. Back then things were much different and almost everyone kept their fish. I can't remember how many times that he would say " oh, that's another 5 pounder" then throw it in the ice chest with the rest of the bass they had caught and say "that's gonna fry up good"

An Old Elderly Neighbor gave me a few years ago when I resided in Austin... Caught the biggest Goggle-Eye(Green Sunfish) I've ever landed on one in Walnut Creek.

Fished it many times as a kid when I only had about a dozen lures, never caught a fish on it, not even a pickerel.
