Tried every method possible.

I'm back to using gallon freezer bags labeled and sorted by style. Putting baits directly in the plastic boxes when taking them out of the factory packages is a mistake.

Bait's fade, lose all scent and salt over time. They also collect moisture and than head to the garbage.

Look into Lingerie Bags at Walmart. They have a zipper an are bigger than the gallon ziplock. I sort by bait type/bag.

That's me too.

+1 and I use a marker to label the boxes.

Fineess,senko,trickworm

Craws,lizards,creature baits

It only takes me 4 boxes to store everything I need.

I store in this order:

Application, then size, then color. I use tackle bag just for plastics. That way I know when I want to flip a brushhog, I go to the flippin' bait part of my bag and viola' there they are. All I need to do is figure out what size and color from there and not have to sort through the endless bags of worms and flukes, etc to get to them. Make sense? I hope that helps.

X2.

Cheap and better than ziplock plastic bags. I store mine this way. I have 10" worms in one bag and brush hogs in another and so on. I think I have about 9-10 different bags. They are easy to get in and out of. Best method I've used so far.

+1........but I don't try to take em all with me anymore. I try to narrow down my selection before hitting the water. 1,500 bags of plastics is kinda overkill, lol.

grouped mine by type: worm, big worm, senko ect then put groups into 1 gal bags wrote on bags what group was with permanent marker then got me a 15 dollar duffel bag to put them in. works good because i can take the bag in the house after trip so there not exposed as much to the cold and heat.

Two 5 gal square Rubbermaid type containers divided by brands.

I bought some water tight boxes from The Container store made for food storage. They come in various sizes. The ones I bought are about the same width as the boxes made for the pre made slots in most boats but are twice as deep. They will take up the room as two boxes but can fit twice as much. I think they run about 10 bucks or so for the big ones. I really like them because they are clear so you can see what you put in them and they are waterproof.

I would be drinking but I have a Fishing problem.
