for those who don't read striper thread...
Boy have i had one those "few days" this last week. Thanks to all who've fished with striper express we can't do it without you! Where to start...thursday was the bomb...the instant grand slam,then on friday the lake was infested with boats...we went west after not finding private waters and did ok for awhile then i droppped my cell in the lake,lost a big topwater fish and slammed a stump destroying my prop all in a few minutes...while this was going on at least jonboy,jimmy and andre were slamming smile Saturday was great we all got great topwater action. Yesterday i went into the monsoon and got some killer topwater in huge rollers we got SOAKED for it and the boats that stayed sheltered didnt fare as well...but it was gnarly in those 3-4 ft swells!

Now today was epic! the weatherman's wind forcast was right on...crazy winds and that makes lake texoma very mean. We began wind zero action on points and stumps. we were getting pounded on the shore and slamming into stumps...very scary i decided to work a shoreline i could float along instead of into. casting into shallows was getting some nice striper and smallmouth so i was tickled that we were going to pull it off.

Then out in the middle of big rollers 2 blue herons were hovering and then it appeared that bowling balls were being dropped in the lake...




Rusty from ponders taxidermy was a happy camper this morning as were we! This was in the top 5 topwater experiences of my life!!! we caught a bunch of HUGE striper on the surface. It is what it is and i love it!!!

Nice! Congrats. Rusty is a great fish taxidermist. He did my sons 23 lbs channel cat,it turned out great. He is doing my other sons 12 lbs striper, and my 11 lbs largemouth right now. All reprodutions. Good job on the trip.
