Really,, how does anyone fish much less enjoy. Trying to go out with these winds?
Personally its driving me nuts. I read all these posts of great fishing. But it seems anytime i can go its either a cold front or gail force winds!!

I promise you........I know where you are coming from. Same here. Limited to mostly weekends......great low wind during the week and gale force winds on the weekends. What the heck.
Life is one big playground. Be sure to ride all the rides before it closes.

sorry bud  the only thing I can say to that is use the wind to force you to try new areas. spend time looking a places you wouldnt ever think would hold fish. you might surprise yourself and find a gold mine. then get a bigger boat

I have the boat a nice cc , but I always have the kids with me, between kids boat and everything that with it. The last thing i want is to worry bout the wind.

The wind has been a bummer. I have finally decided that as long as its about 20 or less I am going to go. I just plan where I launch and where I fish so that I in the lee of the shoreline. Friday night was 15-20 but where I fished was calm and very nice.

We were on Texoma last Thurs am, that was a real storm! It was raining sideways not down.

With those 30+ MPH gusts we had yesterday, I bet Texoma had 3 ft swells on it!

I agree. I've gone out like 10 times this year in a kayak, and windy windy each time...what luck, today I got soaked! That's why I use swim shorts!

I'll give you that one, Yak'n! Fishing in the kayak on Big Tex when there is wind has gotta be a challenge.
That said, the best day I ever had on Texoma was in September a couple years ago when the wind was blowing 20-30. It was solid topwater all day!!!
