Yeah, its pretty irritating, especially how I had to paddle for at least 45 minutes this weekend just to get where I needed to fish at.

But I try to stay positive and use it to my advantage.

Yea, those days with the permanent high pressure zone sitting atop Texas.

This is the time to have a backup plan. I found some sandies at the boat slip last night.

Got out a little in Oklahoma Saturday and watched my new girlfriend catch her first fish out of the yak! Pretty cool. Wanted to hit Broken Bow yesterday but it wasn't happening.

I felt the pain as I paddled into the wind on Saturday in my Inflatable, I have a bass boat seat and therefore sit high. I battled for 200 yds on a small lake. Would never attempt that on a big lake.

This was Lake Lewisville this evening at "just" 15mph.

Gulf of Lewisville

I've been catching a few undersized hybrids, sandies, crappie, from the bank on artificials although it might take 25 casts per fish.

I know some spots that are sheltered enough I can still kayak fish in the wind, but I'm prone to sea sickness which I managed to get on Saturday hammer

Well at least you could try out your kayak in BTB conditions. I think I would have paddled backwards. Hahaha J/k

Pretty telling when "Just" 15mph is a good thing.

I might not catch them all, but I try to.
