If its a long trip yes, most of time ramp is only one mile from house so no.

Off. I don't like all the bug guts smeared all over my graphs. They are to easy to take off . Why take a chance.

My local lake ramp is < 4 miles from the house, so I leave them on going there or any place else close.
Over a few miles I take them off.

I take my HB 700 series off and leave the 958 still on the bow. The 998 in the console is not coming out.

I figure if I take them off and put them on a few hundred times a year I'm more likely to drop them.

Never take em off. Convinced the vibration trailering is milder then the pounding they get running. Plus if I took them off I would have to ...well, take them off.(lazy)

I take them off, I bought mine used, entered new programs on them, installed them, took a lot of time and effort. I don't want that wasted.

Mine stays on. If the road vibration is gonna ruin em, why would they mount them in the dash and bow?
