I live in corpus christi and fish the flats weekly. i use nothing but lures (topwater) and love it. I grew up in Florida and truly miss freshwater fishing (Largemouth). No shortage of close saltwater honeyholes, but really want to fish freshwater badly. I heard lake corpus christi (Mathis Lake) pretty dry with no ramps open. There any advise on locations within hour or so drive that has good fishing. Any advise is greatly appreciated.
