Has anyone fished the Medina River in Castroville? If so is it any good? I live about 10 minutes from Castroville and would like to do a little bank fishing at the park. Any help is appreciated!

Hello

I go there quite often since we live on hwy90/410 and its only 10 minutes from my house. We fish at the regional park and there are mainly smaller bluegil, bass in there along with catfish. I use flyrod, small senko's, and small topwaters. I have hooked into a few that were in the 15-18" range with 4lb test its a blast. I normally fish the around the moving water and around the downed trees.

Cool thanks for the info! I live on 90/410 as well for all we know we could be neighbors. Me and the gf are going saturday morning so I will look for the downed trees and moving water since I've never been there. Thanks again for the info!

You can also try some sweet shaded spots over off of Old River Road or the park at Constantinople Street.
