I parked out by the road to go get my check and to enjoy some of the drawings after the legends weighin. I was gone for a whopping 25 minutes. When I returned my hds8 and ram mount were gone!! They just cut the wires. They did this in broad daylight with people all around. These guys are brave. I am a chl holder and was armed. They were flirting with their life cause I would've used all means to protect my property. Not sure anyone else got hit or not. I guess I learned my lesson about leaving my graph on. I usually take it off but thought it would be ok with all the people around. Boy was I wrong!! Welp guess I can get a 12 now!!

I get pissed just reading this BS. Nothing worse than a low life thief.

Did you report it to the authorities? I thought there was a new sheriff that was making area thefts his #1 priority, was there a law enforcement presence around the tournament venue?

That sucks, I guess someone saw you leave your boat with that easy prize to be had...

Let's come up with a plan for next similar event. It'll require a partner who will drive your rig to the event, park it, and walk away (to the festtivities). YOU follow in another vehicle, park it, and find a good place from which to watch your boat.
This is necessary because these thieves work in pairs, and they stay in touch with each other via cell phone. One follows the driver of the tow vehicle in order to keep up with the "victim's" location at all times. He informs the other thief of when to strike.
After the thief cuts the wires, and has the goods in his hands, you could hold the thief at gunpoint, waiting for the police. If the thief makes a move, it would be suicide.
Actually, I'm just thinking outloud because I hate thieves.

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

Sheriff office sent a deputy after I reported to let the thieves know they were present lol. Day late and a dollar short. No cops present before hand

You would take someone's life over a graph?

Why not? It has his way points. That thief could find a hammer hole.

I just gotta ask, how the hell does this happen? Everyone knows about the theft problem at Fork (not a knock on the OP). How is it possible the sheriff doesn't have a presence at these large tourneys? From the outside looking in, it doesn't sound like the law enforcement in the area is very proactive. And after that open letter pandering for money last week, you would think they would make a little effort.

If I'm off base here tell me. I know you can't stop all crime. But you don't even have a chance if there aren't LEOs present.
