I agree with everyone. Seaguar red label is the same price and you get more line with a proven company. Not even a reason to try the H20 IMO.

Ive used both H20 Flouro and Vanish.
The main reason is for price.

H20 does a pretty good job, Ive got my Mettle spooled with it for about 5 trips and already hooked and landed 3 dozen LMB (varying from 2 lbs to almost 5 lbs). It gives me good knot strentgh and low stretch and casts pretty smoothly. The line memory is borderlined with it not being acceptable

Vanish casts smoothly, but the knot strength and stretch is not acceptable. The line memory is bad compared to H20.

Pretty much all H20 products that Ive tried have been doing a good job of holding up.

You will get your heart broken on Vanish. I would rather have the H2O than that stuff and I have never even tried the H2O.

Buying the H20 for "price" doesnt make any sense though. The Seaguar red label is right around the same price with mroe line per spool so that logic doesnt make any sense. And I agree with everyone else. Vanish is TERRIBLE. It was the first Fluoro i bought because I just wanted to see what it was all about and that was the cheapest. Made me not buy anymore more Fluoro of any kind for a few months afterwards because I disliked it so much and thought all Fluoro was the same lol.

I've been using 10# as a leader for my braid and haven't had any problems for a year thus far. Great line - totally invisible in the water and strong - no breaks (like other lines) - I replace my leader every trip. Caught a few 8 pounders on it and hossed them out of the weeds no problem. Good stuff.

The key is not to full your reel with straight fluoro. Use mono backing and you can easily get 3-4 reels set up with fluoro from a single spool.

I really like H2o's stuff, but the floro line didn't look like a good deal, so I passed. I use Seaguar Red and buy it in a bulk spool and it is pretty good. I am sure that Sunline is better, but I don't want to pay that much for my line.

I've never used the H20 stuff but i really changed my thought process on line a couple of years ago and now only buy high quality line regardless of cost when compared to cheaper brands. A reel that's messes up can still catch a fish. A rod that breaks can still get lucky and reel in a fish (we've all seen it at some point), even a hook that bends a little can still catch a fish....a line breaks and that fish is gone.

And Mark is dead on....I keep my spools half full and wrap tape around the base then spool flouro over the top of it so I end up with a good 100 or so yards on there depending on the reel.

Vanish is like a fat girl in tight clothing. It looks good for a bit. but once you take a closer examination you realize that she is cheap and will always dissapoint you.

It's my experience that fat girls try harder

Check out Cabelas X-50 line, made by Seagar, have had good luck with it. Just looked on line 15lb test 750yd spool on sale $39.95, also 20lb same price. Seagar and Trilene, when I can't get this. Also agree Vanish is plain junk, don't know why they even still sell it.
