Weird timing. Never even heard of one until I went to the Keys last week.

There are 50,000 of them out there....just darn few in Texas.
Thanks re the square back canoe...but...the reason Mister Gheen invented the Gheenoe, was that he flipped over of a couple of canoes, all too often.
You just about can't turn a Gheenoe over...however, you could fall out of one. Rich

I am interested in one as well...Does anybody know if you can haul one without a trailer? Or how they handle with oars?
Tight lines

I owned a thirteen footer for two years about five years ago. They are the best small boat out there. Very stable, very fishable, and I hope to own one again someday. They are not even comparable to a canoe. Send me a message with any questions.

mitch yes you can haul them without a trailer. i have owned mine since 2005 and did not have a trailer or an outboard until last september i would haul it in the back of my truck. I would use a trolling motor or oars to push me around. They handle a little different than a canoe with oars but once you get used to it you will have no problem rowing.
