The LCRA RV park at the mouth of the Colorado. I believe it's called Matagorda Bay Nature Park.

There's a bathroom and shower on beach road just before you get onto the beach and LCRA camp grounds but other than that there isn't any in the beach

Matagorda Bay Nature Park RV Park:
(800) 776-5272, Ext. 4778

Really nice Park, I take my RV and camp at park, fishing is good from lighted pears for Trout and blue grab , Flounder fishing in river can be pretty good, Red fish, specs, whiting, croaker, shark and other species good on the surf. You have to purchase a Matagorda county beach pass to access the beach by vehicle out side of the park boundaries, be careful driving on beach 4wheel drive recommended especially after the 3 mile mark drive up beach look for the shells more shells more fish. We usually go in late summer right before school starts .

Life is short take the kids fishing and camping as often as you can . God,Family , Fishing, work in that order.
