So one day I was driving around with my brother feeling bummed out that we missed out on some deals at a tackle show. We decided to give Mike Oser a call at Moe's Tackle Shop. Mike informed he had some spare time and invited us over to his home. I have never met Mike before but he was more than gracious. He spent about an hour with us talking fishing, lures and how how to tie your own fly.

As we were getting ready to walk out the door/garage he says guys take this with you. Mike gave us a brand new in package fly vice with all the necessary tools to tie our own flys. What's the old saying...give a man a fish he eats for a day, Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Well I think Mike accomplished both feats this day.

But I don't shop at Moe's because he is a nice dude. I shop at Moe's Tackle Shop because I have talked to several great fisherman and they all share the same opinion....it's not the lure (or brand) its the presentation that triggers the strike! For that reason I choose to pay 30% less and buy my lead from Moe's.

Mike is definitely great people! I met him awhile back to pick up some lures. Spent a while standing in the garage talking fishing and stuff.
