I live in the Dallas area and have never been to corpus, but a friend of mine got a beach house for his bachelor party and I want to wet a line down there. Can anyone tell me where to even begin to find a pier or anywhere I can catch a fish without getting a guide or boat? Any help would be appreciated

Last time I was there I caught my limit of specks off of Red Dot Pier using live shrimp on the bottom near the bridge and into birds

Bob Hall Pier should have Specs at night and King macks during the day.
