One of the Oldie Classics!!! And they still work. Especially in ponds, creeks, and rivers. Most people use the expensive spinnerbaits on the big lakes but the H&H is still a good choice. The yellow and black double blade is one of my favorites along with the plain white double blade. The only problem is that the skirts like to melt in your boxes.

Great spinner bait. I like that the "eye" of the H+H spinner is an enclosed circle--enables you to use a snap direct to the lure--most other spinners are an open design--a snap would slide interfering with the blades.

They flat out catch fish. For whatever reason though, I lose more of them that any other spinner. Maybe because they are only $1.79 instead of $6.00!
I like the single blade all white for ponds and the double blade white/chartreause for lakes.
Don't forget to put the hook on. I've made that mistake before and didn't figure it out until I lost 3 or 4 good fish. Doh!

I got those exact 2 lures. Will definitely be trying them out in the near future at Hubbard or Lavon. Will not be keeping them in the tackle box though if they melt that easy. I have one tied on my line right now, where would be a good place to store them to prevent this from happening?

I have upgraded some of the skirts to the new silicone skirts but they just don't work the same! I like the idea of ADDING THE HOOK! AND another long forgotten spinnerbait is the #2 Silver Mepps Spinner. Will catch ANY kind of fish!!! Very Deadly on those days that they won't bite anything else. Might have to use a snap swivel though to prevent line twist. I used to use them with 8lb line on spinning rods. Caught more fish on them than I do now in tournaments! Hey, maybe I need to try that to keep from getting skunked!!!

I remember buying the old H&H spinnerbaits for 50 cent a piece back in the '70's. Caught lots of fish with them wade fishing or fishing from innertube, but they didn't last very long. Skirts would melt or unwind, but @ 50 cents you couldn't expect much.
