I usually launch at the Lynn Creek Marina ramp in the mornings on weekends w/o issues/crowds, but I have found that upon returning to load the boat back onto the trailer there's quite a lot of traffic around the marina. Are the Lynn Creek Park ramps any less crowded? I'm trying to avoid the pleasure boaters (though impossible on JP) as much as possible...

Good luck. Outisde of Britton, that's something you're going to have to deal with until around October or so. Loyd and Lynn Creek are going to be packed with jet skiers and ski boats, the lot of which have no clue how to load/unload a boat. I try to get off the lake by noon or so for that very reason...

Loyd is not as bad because there are lots of places to beach your boat while u get the truck. But both are busy after 11.

Wonderful...is there a lesser of the two evils? Is there a little more room to maneuver at Lynn Creek Park since there ar 2 ramps?

speaking of JP, how has it been fishing lately? I have not been there in a while, thinking of getting back out there. Is there any grass?

Lloyd was always a little less crowded for me...and as for grass, there are many spots with nice underwater vegetation and some that come all the way up and matt on the top. That was last summer though..I haven't been there in quite some time.

I went into Lynn Creek Marina last Sunday afternoon to drop off some fish and it was a zoo. Scary, even. I use the State Park ramp and it has been pretty good, but it will get crowded as summer gets here.

There is plenty of grass, use your sonar.

Last week the sand bass bit cranks very well but you had to crank it as slow and close to the surface as possible. They were very shallow and all keepers, barely.
