I heard this awhile back and I am really skeptical. Someone said that they put a willow leaf spinner with a plastic worm and fished it "Texas Rig" style. On the one hand, I can see how this could work when pulling up and taking out the slack. But does fishing that style really produce enough motion and velocity to make a spinner work? I fish a whacky sinko a lot. I keep several small swivels with a small blade attached to slip over the hook. It works great on that application also.

similar to spinnerbaits. gold for dingy water, silver for clear. colorada for dingy, willow for clear. Size dependent on depth...and indiana for inbetween. I'm going to start out with some gold indiana blades to start out with.

It works. Had a guy give me one a few years back and you can do a lot with it. Works great on the back of a YUM dinger.

I love to fish it in the summer on boat houses. I pitch up under the dock and they smash it on the fall

I like the idea, and I know people have caught some with it. But...with a senko being so prone to tearing up, seems like i'd be throwing 5 spots in the water all day.

So an Indiana blade is more or less a default...in between...spinner?? I am no where near as skilled as most of you are but I was fishing Texas Rig 20 years ago. But I never thought of putting a spinner blade to it. The generalization I have had is that a spinner bait is to be fished with velocity to get the "spinning" put in the spinner bait. But a soft plastic, especially on that is sinking and then going up and then back down is a much slower approach. So what makes them strike it with the spinner. Is it the sight (much like a spoon), or is it the rotation and spin that comes when you pull up? I am speaking strictly from the perspective of fishing Texas Rig style. Keith Circa 1974.
