I only ask as I have an abundance of them under everything I pickup in my yard right now.

They're good for perch ( Yankee translation : sunfish ) but they're difficult to get on the hook. I'd imagine a large one would be ok for cats.

I've never used them. Might try using them to tip a crappie jig.

I don't know about slugs, but I've used these guys in the past and they are a killer bait for cats. We'd just smash the shell off with our fingers. Kinda messy LOL....but it's candy to a kitty.

I know of some guys on Granger that use snails and tear up the blues with them.
