The water is fairly clear. Still would not eat the fish from there, as its a city lake but when I lived in OKC back in the 80's it had some very decent Hybrid striper fishing. LM Bass were scarce and you'll need to drive a ways to find a good LM Bass fishery from OKC.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

Eastern Oklahoma has some outstanding fisheries. Grand, Ft. Gibson, Eufala, Broken Bow, Sardis, Pine Creek, Hugo, Tenkiller, Magee Creek among others. Problem is, they are a 2 to 4 hour drive from OKC. I'm not sure about fisheries west of OKC. I guess Lake of the Arbuckles is just south of OKC and has been good lately.

All the fishermen I know are farther east... But look at the bright side. You will have an extra month or so of the spawn!

Just because I can't catch anything here in Okla doesn't mean you can't haul in a boatload every time you go out.

OKC...if I had to live in a city OKC would be my 2d choice; Tulsa 1st. TG I'm a country boy (even if I am a Damm Yankee).

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.
