Drop shot then spinning. Shakey head then casting.

i use spinning for lighter finesse like drop shot and small shackey head and casting for larger shackey heads weighted wacky

Try a med light casting setup. I recently purchased a Shimano Chronarch 51E and a 6' BPS Microlite med/lt and it rocks for light baits. I put 4/10 PowerPro on it and it'll handle 1/16 to 1/4 oz baits with ease. I hate the line twists with spinning reels so using a baitcaster helps.

Spinning IMO

Dobyns Champion 702SF and a Stradic 3000F Ci4
20# Power Pro and 10-12# Invisx leader and line twist is not an issue. This is my dropshot setup and it's extremely sensitive with no problem casting 1/8 to 3/16 oz wherever you want to.
