I've been using braid for years for certain applications.

One thing that is unappealing about it is it's loss of color. Nearly every brand I've used fades after a short time to a yellow-white-ish color.

I've tried the marker rememdy and the reversing ends trick.

What do most of you guys do to keep that line less visisble as it ages?

thanks.

i dont worry about the braid fading. it doesnt affect my catch ratio and it hasnt affected its strength so I dont bother doing anything to it except keep on fishing with it.

I don't fish braid on any application where fish get a good look at the bait so I just keep on fishing it.

I have always just used a permanent marker - dark green - and marked about the length of the rod - but brown was mentioned above - what color maker does everyone use to re-color their braid

as long as its not affecting the strength I could care less about the color of it.

I use braid on my topwater frog rod. I believe that when it turns white, it blends in with the sky. If I'm flipping I do the marker trick.

Empty another reel and spool the old reel to the new reel.

use a leaded unless you fishing on top.. Then I don't worry about it. I'll use the marker if I need to.
