After spending time with Mom we headed to the lake and ended up with 40 between the 2 of us. We had maybe a dozen short fish and several in the 13 to 15 inch range. Most were females full of eggs. All caught in 8 foot of water on minners. [img:left] [/img]

At first glance I thought you were saying you took your mom fishing. I knew there were some folks out catching them on a warm spring day with great weather conditions. Looks like you were one of them. Nice mess of fish!

I did'nt take my Mom fishing. Although if her health would have would have let her, she would have gone with me. She's 83 years old. She did teach me how to fish with a canepole and a cork many years ago fishing for bream and crappie in East Texas. That's where I got the bug to fish for bream and crappie was from my mother. I don't fish for bass, I fish for crappie and bream as I was taught many years ago. The only that has changed is I went from a canepole to a rod and reel. lol
