I ran my motor yesterday for about 10 minutes. When I stopped I heard a crackling/ popping noise comming from the motor. It sounded like drops of liquid hitting the hot motor. I tried to see if I could see if it was liquid or where it was comming from but with it in the middle of the water it was hard to get a good look. Anyone else have this happen?

It is a 2006 Merc 4 stroke 60 hp

Need to run on ear muffs with cowling off. Look for signs of leakage on block or any water hoses.
