Does anyone out there have a good rear view camera/display setup for aligning the trailer hitch ball with the boat when backing up? I've read lots of reviews for various setups and they all seem to have some complaints - camera leaks, display fuzziness, Bluetooth interference, etc. It does seem that the fully wired systems are better overall than the wireless ones but also cost more. Any comments are welcomed.
Thanks

I have the wireless Peak brand and use it just like you are asking about. Works great and the only "fuzziness" is if the camera is dirty.
I've been using it about 3 years.

One came on my 2013 Chevy. It is crystal clear and tells me just when I am in position.

My wife bought me one for Christmas two years ago. It's called iBall. The camera mounts to your tailgate or bumper with a magnet. The camers pluls into your cigarette outlet. Bluetooth will interfear mine rolls a little but still very usable. They tell you in the instructions to turn off your bluetooh I just have not spent the time to figure out how to do that.

I did have one problem with mine within a few months. The camera stopped working. I contacted the company (Outdoor Inshght) and they replaced it at no charge.

I just looked it up is it for sale from them for $139.99 with free shipping.

The swivel hitches are a pain. I don't use mine anymore. Anyway, this post reminds me, I was suppose to get some photos of my back up camera and post them. I've got the pics, and my computer went down. I'll post them here and post them on the other post. I'll load them to photo bucket and then get them on here.

O.K., Here it is finally!!! Computers are a pain in the arse.
The first pic is the camera mounted on the top of my shell.

The second pic is the monitor on my visor. This is the view I have going down the road. I hooked it to my running lights wire instead of my back up lights wire so I can look at my rig to make sure everything is OK.

The 3rd pic is a mirror I slip behind the camera bracket to give it a parascope effect to see my trailer hitch to hook up. The mirror has some big zip ties attached to it and bent at the proper angle.

The 4th pic is my monitor with the mirror in place. The top 2/3rds is looking through the mirror and the bottom third is looking straight back. The handle to my shell is in the next to bottom green indicator line. It's hard to see but my trailer ball is in line with the bottom green indicator line, just below my shell handle. I can see my trailer tongue in the bottom portion and line them up.

The 5th pic is showing my trailer tongue right where it needs to be. I'm ready to get out and hook up the trailer. It is very easy. I will never have another rig without it.

Sorry for haveing to scroll left to right to read this. I thought the first pic I put up, it was fine. I guess not. I'm not going back to try and resize them. Photobucket and dial-up do not get along.

I have seen one at Auto Zone yesterday. Don't know if the pic quality is any good. Don't know if its even worth the money.

Update - I bought the Peak model with the camera that mounts on the license plate frame and the 3.5" color monitor. My neighbor hard wired the monitor power cable to an available 12V power source under the dash. It's working great - am hoping it still does after being rained on a few times. Thanks again for the advice.

2012 F150 with factory camera, great, has a zoom feature so as you get close you can see the ball and stop right under the trailer coupler.

I bought the Peak one too and I'm having problems with mine It won't stay on, the power stays on but the screen flashes on & off. I haven't called Peak yet to see what the problem might be but I will admit when it does work it sure does make it easy to hook up a trailer. I'll try to move it around tomorrow to see if it helps.

Harbor freight sells a device to align your hitch to the trailer ball mount.

Mine works great and it was only $10.99.
