I'm pretty big on korda hooks but I like to support our local tackle shops. Any issues with the gardener hooks? Its time to restock both the wide gape and the long shank style hooks so I was thinking I might give these a try. Anyone had issues with em?

I am a recent convert to Gardner Muggas but they are hands down my favorite hook, strong as heck and the pattern turns fantastic. The only downside to them is they dull sort of quick but i'm a rig nut so I'm paranoid about sharp hooks and sharpen frequently. They are definitely better than Kordas

Nothing is better than korda in my opinion but they ain't cheap thats for sure... but I'll settle for close. I'll give these a go and see what happens.

Nash hooks are awesome but they're even more expensive than Korda. I have a package of Gardner long shank hooks but haven't tried them out yet.

Muggas are great hooks but.korda are my.go to. Recently tried nash hooks and hated them, dont.know if i got a bad lot or what but had hook pulls and each time the point was dulled or bent over.

I love ESP curve Shanx, don't know if you can find them down there. I get mine from the UK on eBay, typically ends up costing about $8 for a 10 pack after shipping.

Much sharper than Nash fang twisters, and almost never get a missed hookup. Only downside is that they will lose their edge at the slightest bump on a rock, and near impossible to get back the original point even with diamond hone sharpener.

Ive been selling Muggas like crazy and have heard nothing but great things about them! Personally i use my Teflon coated curves they are super strong n hook great. Only down side is they dull rather quick but i also change rigs like crazy.

A good sharp hook is going to dull easy, it's just understood. Now if they come out of the package with the point turned or other defects then I would be concerned. I'm going to get some and try em. Gotta support Carp Brigade businesses.
