Any suggestions on easy way to remember what fishing line I have on my rods? I have gotten to the point with the number of rods that I have (biggest problem is that I am not fishin enought to know what is on each rod!) that from one trip to the next I am unsure what I have spooled on each rod. I gues I could just keep a little notpad on in my box that says what i put on each rod. ? Was hoping there is something that i could stick on or attach to the rod that would be a reminder.

I know Bass Pro sells little stickers that you can stick on your reels. You can probably find them at other stores, too. If nothing else, just get little self stick labels and write on them. Stick them on your rod in front of the reel seat or the side of your reel under the cast control knob.

I've basically labeled on the underside of my reel seat, my reels starting at #1 then 2, and 3, and so on. I have a separate sheet I created in Excel which basically gives me a spot to write down the line and when I spooled it last to the corresponding reel. I tried the stickers but they would fall off or fade when wet...

I usually use 8 different rods and can remember what line is on each. . .don't you guys use specific lines for specific presentations? If I pick up my spinnerbait rod, I know it has 17lb big game, my cranking rod 14lb invizx.

I use a product called Line Rite Rod Tags from Tackle Warehouse. They come in various colors for Floro, Braid, Mono, etc., with various weight for each type line. I locate my tags on the rod just ahead of the reel. They hold in place well and I seldom have to replace the.

I put yellow electrical tape on the cork just in front of the reel with the month/year and above that line size and an initial for the type of line using a permanent marker.
That stays on for a year or more.
