I have a 1997 Stratos 201 Pro Elite, it came with a Lowrance x25b finder in the dash. It no longer works; my question is this, what models of finders will work with my transducer and power chord other than the x25b? I would like to use the transducer, changing it out in its current location is not something I would look forward too!

I think that unit was 192 kHz and todays units are 200. Additionally, all the newer units have a blue connector and no other type fits.

You are prolly going to have to bite the bullet and knock yours out. When I put in a new ducer I have to move the oil tank, all three batteries, the battery charger, the floor plate, and the plate from the battery area to the bilge area. It is about a 2 hour job just to get to where I can see the ducer.

Then it is knock out, clean up, sand, clean up, run wires, glue down new ducer, wait 24 hours and reassemble everything.

I have been looking on ebay, the older units are still available, but I am not familiar enough with Lowrance to know what is compatible. for instance, will the x45 work? will the eagle units work, like the fish easy? I don't mind buying something older. My units don't work because the screens are sun damaged. I am really not that "techie" of a guy, so old stuff doesn't bother me. 'the guy I bought the boat from did not keep it covered.
