went to Ray Roberts yesterday and while the morning was great, the afternoon turned quite windy...but a little before 5 PM I found what I call the motherlode...best picture of a brush pile with crappie on it I have seen on my boat so far...I caught 15 in about 30 minutes and ended up with my limit...

I thought you didn't want to go to the "race track"...the back was open and company would have been welcomed..

notice where they are on the pile...the current was coming from the left of the picture and they were stacked up just to the down current side of the top of the pile...

Did you see the vertical bars on the big white crappie just above and to right of the dotted line? Man that one looked like a three pounder for sure!

Just kidding...great picture! And great day on the water! If I get my chores done I may head that way this afternoon or tomorrow.

That's a nice pic. I was on R/R yesterday and quit just as the wind was starting to pick up. Got 8 keepers but caught about 30 dinks. It was a beautiful day on the water.

thanks all...

@ piscatur...I am thinking about night fishing the 3002 bridges tonight...

@retired fisherman...the weather man lied about the wind yesterday...in the evening it was supposed to be out of the south at 7 and it was out of the northwest at at least 15 don't you think?...

AlabamaJack - You're right about the winds. When I crossed the dam heading home, waves had kicked up to whitecaps.
