 Headed to fork next weekend......but!!!

We're taking my dads boat that has no electronics,gps,depth,sonar etc. we are however going to be with a fork veteran/relative that has a rv lot and his own boat at lfm. I told my dad it wasn't a good idea to take his fishnski but he is insistent to take it. Am I paranoid or will we be ok as long as we are cautious of hazards and what not?

Actually not a bad time of the year to fish without any electronics. Many fish to be found shallow right now. Coves, points...some spawning, some protecting fry, eating bluegills and spawning shad. Your chances are good fishing " low-tech". Now for the weekend crowd? No electronics will take fix that!
