I pack light because walking out the jetty is a long walk. I was wondering how everyone else pack for the jetty trips.

So far I use a camel pack with custom rod holders. I just bring hooks and weights along with a plier in the pack. Then I hold a cooler.

A wagon/cart is by far the best way. I dont have one personally, but I have a bag with a strap that fits comfortably over my shoulder. Than I have a rolling cooler with rod holders on it, and thats just about everything I need for the jetty!

every jetty ive been on is just a series of granite blocks with huge gaps. how do you drag a wagon over that? does this one have a sidewalk?

The Surfside jetty in Freeport has a sidewalk on it.
I'm pretty sure it was destroyed during hurricane like and was rebuilt with a sidewalk on top.

Yeah the jetty's on Seawall are all rocky. no sidewalks. I guess its all depends on the jetty. I go to all the rocky jetties

I stay mobile with a backpack, one or two rods, and a box of lures. Hauling live/frozen bait out there is a pain in the A. Though I'm usually only down there for short day trips and haven't tried to try keep anything yet. (Port Aransas).

The wagons that I think the others are referencing have large sand rated tires on them so the large "cracks" wouldn't be an issue.
