is the cuda 14 a good btb kayak?

I tried allot of different kayaks at demos and decided a cuda 14 was the one for me so now im saving for one and I wondered if it would be good for btb?

14 could be a little long if you are doing a front facing re-entry.It might telephone pole you. Also it'll be harder to right yourself between sets when you get pushed off perpendicular. Maybe a Cuda12 would work better for that. Or get a 14 and a BTB kayak for just that. Very few kayaks will do all applications (if any of them). I would look at a 12ft kayak with a high rocker. I'd want a kayak with more rocker than the Cuda offers.

I'd want a kayak with more rocker than the Cuda offers. what would you recomend for a tall guy 6.4 275 pounds?

Use a drift sock to keep you straight during re entry

for BTB? I would look seriously at the 2013 Malibu XFactor. 33" wide and 600lb capacity, great rocker and under deck storage.

BTB for Galvestion area I'd want the Cobra Fish-n-Dive.
A neat trick when returning to shore if the breakers are bad is to paddle in backwards. That way you keep an eye out for what's coming and it's easier to keep straight.
