I'm still shaking. Thanks everybody for the kind words. I really appreciate it.

So where do I start? Well this is my first post in over a month. Honestly just got tired of all the drama and decided to take a break and just fish. The last few weeks have been a struggle for us on the Vine. We were not even going to fish tonight. I called Shipe and said I had the entry fee and we could take my truck...basically "Your going and you don't have a choice." Lets roll. He gives in thankfully. First spot nothing. Second spot catch a 6 right before dark. Hit 5 more spots. Lose 3 unders. At 9:30 catch a under. 9:45 we say lets go hit one more spot we should have 5 minutes on it. We drop trolling motor at 9:54. Shipe says we have 6 minutes. I make a cast and she hits. Knocks slack in the line. I set the hook and it feels like I'm hung. It starts moving. I just start saying "BIGGIE" over and over. I can just tell by the way she is pulling. She jumps about 10 ft from the boat and I think 8 or 9 because she couldn't get out of the water. I keep her on top of the water and she swims right at the boat. Shipe drops the net and she swims right in head first. We both just stare in awe and I can't even grab her I'm shaking so bad. When I put her in the livewell she could not even upright herself because she was too long. I hold her upright and we take off to weigh in. Just crazy how big she was. She was spawned out. Scott puts her on the scales...11.37. Wow. I still can't believe it. By far my personal best. Grapevine? Really? My biggest out of Grapevine before that was 8 pounds. I can't explain how grateful I am. I held her in the water for about a minute to revive her and she swam off strong. Just an awesome feeling. Hope the next time she is caught by somebody she is the lake record. Thanks to the guys that help me care for her. I will remember that fish for as long as I live. Truly a fish of a lifetime.
