OP Fishing Dad 23 Green Horn F Joined: May 2013 Posts: 3	I fished the Falcon Grand Challenge on Grand Lake here in Oklahoma this past Saturday with my 10 year old son, Braden. There were 578 boats (4 fish limit). I put a quick limit in the boat, mainly on a jig, and then "it" happened. Braden picked up a spinner bait and flung it down the bank and then yelled, "Got one, dad. Get the net!" After it jumped and almost got wrapped up in the prop, I netted my son's new PB. 6.92 lbs! I don't think we made another cast for 30-45 minutes. I then upgraded a few more times and then we went to weigh in. We finished in 9th place (16.65 lbs) and won $1,000 and Braden won big bass of the tournament (for another smooth $1,000). He still has not quit smiling (neither have I). I am one proud dad and ready to get back out there for the next time. I don't know how to post pics, but the pic of the fish is on falcongrandchallenge.com. Look out boys, he's going to be a stick for years to come.
