Finally have a chance to get back to ivie this weekend, my favorite lake! Haven't been in a long time! Of course there is an East wind forecasted for saturday. I've caught them before in an East wind, but more often or not, it's much tougher for me. Oh well, can't catch them if I don't go!

Rather fish an east wind then a north wind.

East winds are usually associated with a pressure change. Can turn them on or off.

You better believe I'll have fun! Like I said, I've caught them before in an east wind. It won't scare me off.

Caught plenty of fish with a east wind, old superstition I think! Good luck!

Hardest bite to get. . .and in West Texas, that East wind is brutal. It just shuts down fish.

Agree strong east wind and blue sky's normally shut them down. But I've also tore them up in these conditions on occasion ...just go fish and maybe you will find a sweet spot where there stacked up! Way better than doing yard work! Lol

You just never know. I can't count the number of times I had perfect conditions and just knew I was going to kill them, then left with may tail tucked. The opposite has proved true many times also.

Typically an east wind on the back side of a front. I hate an east wind.

They still have to eat.....change your thinking to this...wind from the east, fish bite like a beast. fish high confidence Baits tight to cover. Confidence is half the battle.
