I use 8 of each on my boat. I like spinning reels just as much as baitcast.

I use all abu reels unless i am flatty fishing. Then i bring the big boys out. I went out with bankfisher 2 years ago and watched him land a 56 pound flatty on his penn 950 and i fell in love with them

I'm in the same boat as you, I fish pretty often and have a few friends that are the usual tag alongs...but it never fails that when somebody new comes along they can't cast a baitcast reel...I learned this when I bass fished a lot. If you think its rough catfishin try having them throw lures over and over again. Nothing wrong with a spinning reel.

Had a buddy of mine get a birds nest in his bait caster the other day when we were fishin for perch...my our other friend handed him his spinning reel and said, "here you go man, I'm just gonna drink beer." My buddy who received the spinning reel looked at him and said, "I hate these reels, I don't know how to use one." How in the heck does a person not know how to use a spinning reel but knows a bait caster... noidea sarcastic

SpinCast is push button reels like Zebco. Baitcasters, Spinning or Fixed Spool, and SpinCast.

I prefer to fish with all bait cast reels, but keep a couple spinning rigs in the boat for kids, my wife, mom, and gma.

Other than that I love hooking into a big fish on some of my spinning rigs and hearing the drag sing.

Im not laughing at the zebco, but the zebco on a falcon rod... why not use an ugly stick etc... Its like oh you don't need these fancy expensive reels to catch fish and buying a zebco and then turning around and buying a 80 dollar rod rolfmao

I am confident in the rod it is supposed to be salt water and a I can fold it in half without breaking I will only use 8 inch live shad on there...
