Cedar Creek can be very rewarding at times. Yesterday was a tough day to be on the water, especially early. We noticed that the later in the day it got the better the bite was. Today was great! We had 3 boats on the water and everyone had good trips. Not sure where you fished and what you tried but brush in 8-20ft of water is our best depth right now. The spawn is about over and most fish are hanging out on a post spawn pattern. Today we caught fish on several different color jigs. We mainly used the cr special from lights out tackle and the Texas toast, slab bandit baits. Good luck

First thanks everyone who had some advice it's much appreciated!! To Ernest Paty... Next time I'll remember to bring the "crappie boat" if I want to catch somethin other than catfish. We should of known it's impossible to catch crappie from a Ranger. Thank you for letting me know the CC crappie are that new breed of super intelligent boat identifying crappie. Won't make that mistake again.

We had a tough outing on sunday ourselves, visited with some guys that got almost a double limit..they went all over the place hunting them. Monday was a good day..on brush piles mostly..just got to find them, which is the hard part...get a lake map that identifies major structure work your way around from there. Good luck and good fishing.

We actually bought a map and will be much better prepared on the next outing. I think the wind was a huge factor though!

Thanks Chuck!! It wasn't what I was on the hunt for, but it was definitely fun trying to land that bad boy.
