Was out Saturday noonish till aroung 4:30 and got (5) nice hybrids and a few magnum sandies off a hump by the damn on live shad. Had a sore back all night from the beating I took going back down the lake to the launch. Way to windy but fish are biting! Was anyone else crazy enough to be out?

Randy, You might not wait to long.....I have heard that the lake level will be dropped another 12/15 foot over the next couple months bang

Gonna be bad if we dont get ssome rain.

We had good luck last week also

just in front of the Dam at the point ( that is now out of the water) they were hitting our slabs
drifting over the point we would pick up 3- 4 hybrids ever time

we caught approx 20 hybrids ( all released) and a bunch of whites mixed in

also found some at lower unit island although they were smaller but lots of them

fishing is good right now

WE NEED LOTS OF WATER in the lake

As Kerry said ".I have heard that the lake level will be dropped another 12/15 foot over the next couple months " from the folks at the Tarrant water district.

I know this question gets asked a lot, but what is the best ramp to use right now. Would like to head up Sunday if all goes well.

Hey Wes,
Went out again yesterday afternoon till dark and did really well. Birds were working everywhere. Caught two nice 23 incher H'brids by dam area and a couple really nice Sandies. Thru back 10 maybe 11 unders around 17 in-a-half to 17 three quarters. They'll be nice fish by this fall. Tried out on the mid-lake humps east of rattlesnake Isle cause of birds working and wow. Mixes of sandies and unders till I ran outa bait (and light). What a blast. NO one around. Those 17-17 3/4 Hybrids just exploding on top over the humps. Sure hope they don't drop the lake much more cause those same humps are only about 7-8 ft now at the tops.
This is an odd year so B'port should be getting another stocking of Hybrids (I hope).

Hope there is water in it if they do stock it! would hate to see a bunch of "floaters: if they drain it down through the heat this year.

Yep, Bporte was drained over Wed. night, no need to even consider going there, all ramps are out of the water. Go to lake W'ford they have a huge Yellow bass pop that needs culling !?
