 I fished the main lake area. Great weather day to be on the water. Got 15 keepers and released about the same number of smaller ones. Most keepers were 11 – 13”, but had two 15” that weighted 1.9# each. Best luck was on submerged trees at cove inlets, using a lime green Rocky Top jig, 10 to 14’ deep. 14 of the 15 keepers were females full of big healthy sacs of eggs. Water temp was 65-67, so it looks like they are heading in to the coves to spawn. I also hooked a couple of big bass that got off at the boat. One was probably about 8#. Fighting a big bass on a 10 ft crappie pole is about as much fun as a guy can ever expect to have with his clothes on.

This might be the time for RR. I heard they have a later spawn than most local lakes...
