I have traded for a Lowrance LMS 332c... to replace a black and white finder I had on the front of the boat. It has GPS and I would like to use the GPS.

I have a Navionics Hotmap map but, it does not work in the unit.. maybe I don't know how to use it. I use this card in my Hummingbird I have on the console. I just stick it in the slot and it works... not so with the Lowrance...

I get that you have to "choose the Navionics map".. and I tried to do that... The map comes up, but v-e-r-y slowly and it is very small and the zoom does not work. Also I am getting an error message that says Data Module not working. The map does show Whitney where I fish, but it is only one coordinate location, near the Katy Bridge...

I don't know. Does the LMS 332 require a special map.. does anything have to be done other than stick the card in the slot?

I need a little help here... I have downloaded the 332c manual but cannot find anything other than insert the card and select the map.

Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks.

you need make sure you wire the nmea pwr wires to a pwr source. Thats if you got the reg. pwr cord to that unit. What year is your navionics card?

1) The Unit has 3 connections, the sonar cable, the power cable and the network connection. The first two are the "blue connections" and are connected. I do not have the network connection in use because I am not networking the unit.

The Navionics card is 2012 and I think the unit is a 2006 or 2007.

I had visited with a Lowrance rep at the Fun N Sun tackle show in Hurst back in the winter and he had told me that any unit with the "blue connectors" would hook up to my existing cabling and transducer (which is built into the inside of my Motor Guide Tour trolling motor).

The sonar works great.

I am just trying to figure out how to get the GPS to work.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I have a 332C and all I do is pop in the SD Hotmaps chip and turn it on.
Do you know for sure the unit was working OK when you bought it?

I hope you get it worked out.

The guy told me he didn't use the GPS, that he had it networked... maybe there is some change to the configuration I need to make to make it NOT networked.... donno... But thanks for that info....

I think back when the 332 came out, they had map chips for Lowrance and chips for Humminbird. You had to have the right one for it to work. The chips had labeling for which brand it worked for.
I'll look, I might have the chip yoou need

I have a 332C igps and I found that only one specific Lakemaster card would work in mine.

Oklahoma and Texas Version.

Good Luck

Have you hooked up the power to the GPS puck? Yes, it has a separate power wire. Also, make sure you're using the right puck. If you're trying to use the one from your old unit I bet they're not compatable. I believe it uses an LGC2000

I run a Navionics 2007 South chip in my 332 with no problems.
