jtbgator & I hit T-Wak on Sunday 05/05/13. We pulled down to the water & see white cap city n feel sustained high windage 2nd thing we see, a freshly swamped bass boat about 120 yards out on the point We apparently just mist the spectical according to several fisherman at the Marina talking & still scratching their heads. 3 fisherman went out & apparently tried to cut across a well known sandbar. Once stuck they they couldnt get off. Then the owner jumps into the water w/NO LIFE VEST!!! in knee high water (Hope Gator will post a pic) then he decides to try and walk to shore. Sounded like he went the wrong direction & took a swim instead. He ALMOST DIDN'T MAKE IT!!! He was shivering, soaked & tired when he finally got to shore. After everyone knew he was out of danger he got a good chewing from someone on the bank & everyone was watching his ignorance. Those 3 anglers finally got warm & everyone including Gator & I eventually left to T-Wak for another day Told Gator I was gonna go see my uncle Johnny on the way home. Called Johnny several times but no answer. I wanted to see him in a bad way so, I decided to go anyways. He has a place on Cedar Creek! We finally talked & I told him I was on his lake fishing in my new Yak. He said come on over so I start paddling with the wind to my back. 10 miles later this was the result. Cedar Creek said YES WAY!!! Found a lil action around the islands & fish on every point from the 2 big bridges in Gun Barrel past Enchanted Isle. Caught 2-3 off of each point trolling (with the wind to my back) about 100 yards or so off shore. They liked it fast! Caught around 30 fish total. These made the ice. All fish came on Lipless Cranks with a teaser (fly) about 18" up. Fish are still milking & all but 1 female still had eggs. Was good to see Uncle Johnny again. Fish should be going nuts all week if the weather holds

Nice recovery! One of these days I'll make it up that way to fish with you guys. Want to chase those whites and hybrids somewhere other than Belton.

There was a guy drowned on that point 2-3 yrs ago. Same deal, ran aground in high winds and got out of the boat without a jacket. Yea, some of the guys along the shore were telling us about that. Apparently there were a few teenagers that drowned on those same sandbars not too long ago. Very sad yet a very real reminder to always respect the water and to use your best judgement.
