The reason I was asking is I was wanting to known if Ray Bob was one of those lakes that has a lot of 10" sandbass and a few 12+". I known lake lavon is that way.

I've caught a lot of really healthy sandbass on RR in late fall and early winter. Can't really speak for spring and summer. It ain't all dinks in there.

I've been out there at least one day each week for the past 4 and generally catch 50 - 100 per person in the boat when fishing about 4 hours. I have been fishing mid lake humps in 25-40 fow. The last two weeks there have been a lot more dinks...I would guess 25% are under 10". The biggest has been 15", but a lot of 12-13". It is pretty easy to get on a bunch of fish right now on ray bob.

If you can afford a guide, GET ONE!! They help so much and you can back after the trip and catch them on your own

Yes I use slabs plus a fly tied 15 inches above to catch two at a time.

A guide is a good investment. I have used Tim Wike....reelinrayroberts.com and he is a great guy. He is more than willing to teach you so you can then do better on your own.
