Anyone have one of the new KLX rods yet? Looking for a few opinions on what they're like since you can't see them in stores.

Very best rod for the money. If you like med-hvy I would go with the heavy.

These rods are awesome!! I bought a KLX spinning rod specifically to fish dropshot and shakey heads. It is the best spinning rod I have ever used.
I also have several KLX baitcast rods and I can really tell the difference when I pick up one of my other rods in the course of the day; in sensitivity and weight, with the same reel model on both rods.

Broke my chatterbait/spinnerbait rod tonight. Been looking at them for a while, now I have a reason to try one.

I've been on Kistler's Fieldstaff for a while now. I can't tell you how many people have come up to me and said the KLX is the best rod on the market for the money. I have had no problems whatsoever with the KLX so far.
For the bladed swim jigs I use a 7' XH with braid. It drives the hook home and haven't had any problems with getting bites or keeping them on.

I'm eyeballing the 6'9 MH thats Mfast because I do some roll casting in closer quarters. Use 15lb invisix mostly.

One of the nice things about the KLX is the blank itself is made by North Fork Composites LLC which is a Gary Loomis owned company made in the USA!

Just posted about power tackle rods and how awesome they are, but I have some KLX rods now and so far I like them- good rod for the money, or just a good rod period. Agree about very light weight and mine the action is a bit lighter than the rating as others have said.
