Had the opportunity to assist in Matt�s 11Th Annual Fishing Weekend once again on Cedar Creek Lake. I love doing this trip and it is always a blast ! This year we had 6 guide boats with 24 total guests. We headed out at 6:45 am and was back cleaning fish by 11:30 am. I would like to thank Billy Seaman as he started this trip with these guys 11 years ago and I have been helping for 8 years. The winds were not bad at all until we already went to the dock to clean fish. The usual pattern of fishing shallow with the big cold from did not happen but we managed to find fish on humps and points from 15-24 ft water and 19-20 ft seemed the best > I would like to also Thank Three Seas, Sassy Man Doug , Luck O The Irish Omar And BFC for all the help.. All the boats did well and the guys had a great time ; My lures I used were the SSS Chartreuse slabs from www.moestackelshop.com .. I actually had the honor to have the organizer (Matt) fish in m boat this year. This is the first year that he didn�t take his boat.. I made sure he had a great time





I have also fished Hubbard a little when the winds would allow.. this weather is crazy.. Took Ruben out for a little Cinco De Mayo celebration fishing after lunch.. We caught fish at just about every stop.. my other was a catch a release and we did not fish long due to Marry was not quite up to the frigid temps .. The shallow water bite was still sporadic but most of the fish moved back deep off of levees, long points and humps.. But with the warmer temps this week I am sure the shallow bite will once again turn on. All fish caught with SSS Slabs and 4in COCO Moe�s with � oz dead head jigs in 1-27 ft water. The water cooled back down to 62-64 and the winds have been horrible to manageable. I am taking a little vacation at the end of this week so you guys have at it The BIG 8th Annual TFF white bass tourney is just 2 weeks away and cant wait Fishing should remain pretty good for a while and if you are looking for a trip just PM or give me a call. John, was giving me a schooling on catching then he felt sorry for me and let me catch a few!! Hubbard is fishing good and if you wanna fill a freezer right now give JV a call!!
