Had Joe and Virginia Hale and son Steve and girl friend Lisa.It was tough early with the wind. Liprip give me a heads up and found some fish in the mouth of a rocky slough. Went to a deep water mid lake hump 24 ft deep with 32 ft water all around. Finished up on a midlake 20 ft. hump.All fish caught on ole ugly slabs and flies. Chartuese and white and a slab I call rainbow. Caught 274 kept 70 for a family fishfry. Fish were smaller since cold front. A fun day that looked early on we would have to cancel. Liprip and his crew were hammering them also. It is great take advantage of my spring special . Give me a call. Johnny  [/URL

Hey Johnny, do you realize that between your crews numbers and me and liprip we had a fish count of over 500??? But EM ain't got no fish, right?

Yea I know the last two guide trips my clients have caught over 600 fish.It is really good when you can get on the water.I guess the ole ugly slabs and flies are O.K. even though they are 50 years old.LOL

Good to see you as usual Johnny. We put a dent in them today didn't we? We only kept about 20 of the over 200 we caught for the grease. It was a little rough early but you know "its all about how you finish". Yeah.... that sounds good right.Lol Nothing like laughing and smiling clients in the boat. I kinda felt bad for the boys in your boat. The girls definately put in on them.

I have a negative report on the flies...the slabs are fine but the flies are to much! Our fingers still hurt from last trip...arms are still achy from bringing up 3 and 4 fish at a time...just terrible!  if your looking for a great time on the water give Johnny a call!  His First time using the slabs and flies....when told we could catch 4 at a time, he doubted me....well the pic says the rest!
