so i have had lots of glasses costas. jims, and right now im using oakleys. i have a model that the lenses snap out and you can change them out on the fly. they came with polarized dark grey lenses. but for about 50-75 bucks i can get new lenses without having to buy a whole new set.... got a nice gash in one of the lenses playing golf and it just bugs the [censored] out of me seeing that little blur so any advice on the best lense for fishing?

I agree that if you damaged them it's your responsibility to pay for new ones. I imagine they'd go out of business if they provided free replacements to everyone who damaged their lenses.

I had a pair of polarized oakleys. The lenses began to turn milky white. I took them to an oakley store to see if they would replace them. The employee said that it looked like heat stress and asked if they had been in the sun. I wanted to throat punch him for asking such a stupid question. Apparently you are not suppose to store your sunglasses inside your car in the compartment with the picture of sunglasses on it.
I have a pair of maui jims that began to do the same thing. They replaced them no questions asked with the receipt of course.

Find someone with a government issue log on with Oakley, they can get the lens for a lot less. Also check Amazon.com a buddy just got replacements for $30 something for the Gascan model.

oakley will give you 50%off a new pair if you send in the old pair, sent in a pair that the dog chewed up and they gave me 50% off still, the vr28 polarized are the best lenses for cutting the glare

sweet ill look into both of those... yeah they offered me 50 % off a new pair but the were only a month old... i love the frames they are the fast jackets...
again i love the glasses and its not an oakley fault i caused the scratch or chip rather... so i dont expect oakley to have to pay for it!

Just got a pair of Fives Squared and I thought the same thing about the lenses, too dark most of the time. What would be the best lenses for cloudy, low light days?

Oakley used to stand behind their stuff until Luxotica bought them.

OAKLEYS ARE JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! polarizing comes off every pair i ever owned, to me that is a manufacturing defect! and sunglasses are made to be in the sun! especially when they run 250 -400$ they will not get any more of my money, only reason i had 7 pairs is because i had them when i played baseball in college and they gave us a significant discount...... i now have costas and amphibia sp? costas have the best customer service ever!!!! i dont care what they cost i buy things with a warranty and a good customer service department to use if need be......i dont give a sh*t if kevin vandam wears them or not
