They're spawning on the rocks right now which is obviously right off the shore so getcha a bobber and put your bait about 3 ft away from it

fish all along rocks and use a cork and expierment the depth anywhere from 2ft-6 ft.
cork: any really it doesnt matter bigger the bait bigger the cork.
line: 8-12pnd test
splitshot: 1/32 or size 1
Hook: size 6 sickle hook or size 4 for me
Bait:cut shad or danny kings
rod: 6'6ft or 7ft baitcasting or spinning
.
fish the rocks and move every 10 mins if you dont get a bite.
vary the depth to where you are fishing.

fishing is one thing. catching is another

Dalrock road. Can fish either side of 30. Channels are in the rocks spawning, and you can catch some big blues a little further out on perch or shad. Caught a couple flatties there too.

Have yall heard of any secret spots on White Rock Lake? Because right now that lake is pointless to me. Ive been out there at least 5 times and all ive caught is 1 mudcat. Also, since yall are telling me to fish the rocks at hubbard, would it be the same if i fished the rocks at WRL?

I LOVE WRL but it's a very hit and miss lake for me personally. I never go there expecting to catch alot of fish, but I do go there expecting to enjoy the scenics.

If you're targeting Catfish, it does seem like right now rocks or some serious structure is where you need to be. In relatively shallow water as well.

Flathead fishing is very slow fishing.....channel cats should be spawning and should be plentiful so pick your battle.

Also flatheads are a tough fighting fish and you will need some good rods and reels to fight back with.

Ive actually heard of some nice flatheads coming out of there. I was going to plan on fishing it this weekend for them using live perch off the rip rap. When you fish out there what and where do you fish?

I haven't really targeted flat heads when I fish there. I usually fish by the old boat house and fish several rods using a variety of baits for Carp, Buffalo, catfish, etc, etc. But if you're using live bream, fishing along the rip rap might not be a bad place to start. Let us know how you do. wink
