I was cleaning up the boat yesterday in prep for a trip out this week. Normally I will turn the key over to make sure the engine will fire so that I will not be sitting on the ramp blocking traffic. It usually turns right over and fires and I kill it.

Yesterday it would not even fire. It cranked so no battery troubles but it would not fire. The bulb is hard and I can hear it pulling fuel from the tank so that is not a problem.

I turned key on and the alarm sounded as usual (1 long one) but then it beeped 4 times. Did some looking and found this could either be water in the filter or low oil. I drained the filter into a glass jar and saw no water there. The remote tank is 3/4 full and the tank on the engine is full also.

I even pulled all the spark plugs and they do not look bad at all. Any ideas? I really would rather avoid a costly trip to the shop if I can.

This is one that you will need to take to you local dealer and have checked with the CDS software. It could be a bad PCM, bad switch, many different thing. Being a 2010 it may still be under warranty. If you get me your serial number I can tell you if it is or isn't. If it is, the issue you are referring to has a good chance of being a warranty issue.

That motor will crank over fine but not fire if the battery is a little weak. Charge the battery if that doesn't do the trick bring it in to see us at Rockwall marine

Your engine is under warranty until 9/11/2013. Also shows your address as out of San Antonio. If you need a recommendation of a good tech out there pm me and I will be happy to help you find a dealer.
