Fenwick Eagle GT's. They are a little pricey, but I love these rods. I've used this same rigs for sunfish, as well as white bass. I've even caught a few crappie on these rigs. The older ones have the cone shape at the top of the cork, while you can see that the newer ones have a flat top. Great rigs with 10lb. high vis braid!!!

I've got a lot of baitcasters, and large assortment of rods (for bass fishing). But lately, I've been having a lot of fun with these two Shakespeare Alpha spinning reels. The small one came spooled with 6 lb clear mono, and the other with 8 lb mono. I paid $13 apiece at Bass Pro for these great reels. I bought the rods at Academy, one for $10 and the heavier one for $14. I use the lighter one for bream, and the other for bass (pitching weightless Senkos mostly). BOTH of these rigs really work great, and IMO there's no need to buy any that are more expensive.

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

Just to the left of my Deadbolts, you will see two Quantum Xtralite reels. I have those on two of my favorite sunfish rods: Quantum Renegade rods. I had grabbed these rods for 10 bucks a piece, out of a clearance bin AGES ago when K-mart was closing down. These are the coolest little rods ever, and I'm constantly on the hunt for a few more. I've had more fun reeling in sunnies on those rods than most fish I have caught. The Quantum reels are okay. They ran like 29.99 a few years ago, but the Deadbolts can hold more line capacity.

9' two piece 3wt All Star fly rod, cant remember the fly reel, but it's a blast even though I suck at fly fishing.
I'm also using a two piece All Star fly rod(8 ft. 5 wt.). Bought mine over 10 yrs. ago in Abilene when Academy marked them down to $38.88 from $100. One of the best purchases I ever made. Do you remember where you got yours?

I got mine from a guy on Craigslist in new condition. It's a 3wt, and I wish I knew how to fly fish better! If I could find a local sunfish fly fisher I'd love to get some lessons.

You should take a couple casting lessons, buy an 8wt. rod, and then tear up the bays near you. Reds on the fly are a ton of fun. I've been fly fishing since May 2009 and I am still thinking about taking a few lessons for salty fishing since we are moving to the Destin, FL area. You can always learn something when someone, with knowledge, watches you cast. Also, I've picked up conventional gear twice since I started fly fishing. Once for Lake Calaveras(in SA) and once while in Costa Rica.

I've been thinking about buying a 5/6 wt for bass and a 8/9 wt for saltwater. I've caught some rat reds and dink specs on my 3 wt though, what a blast. I wanna find somebody local who will show me the ropes in some of the area ponds I like to fish, guess I need to get serious about finding someone.

Those are some nice rigs. Anyone have the new Browning combo from Bass Pro? Just saw it on Friday and thought $49 was a great price for it.

I don't know about this gen of Browning superlights, but he one before was awful in my experience. The rod was ok, but I went through two reels in two weeks before I just returned the whole rig.

Friend had problems with his browning rod after 1 summer of use. The rod was just glued to the cork handle and ended up coming apart.

Unfortunately, I don't doubt that.
